Midgets & the Movies

So I am well aware that 'midgets' is not the correct term to use, however "Little People and the Movies" or "Dwarfs and the Movies" just didn't have quite the same ring to it.

Anywho...last night I went with my parents and my daughter to the movies to see "Marley and Me". I get to the front window and there are 4 people selling tickets...two of which are little people. I of course end up with a little person selling my tickets. No offense to little people...or big people for that matter...as I am a huge fan of TLC's show, "Little People, Big World". Anyways I am standing there with Madison trying to purchase three tickets for "Marley and Me" and one ticket for my dad (who refused to see Marley and Me) for Valkerie (sp??...Im too lazy to Google the correct spelling) and this little person starts pretending he is the Regal Movie Patrol and says "You know...this movie is sorta like Old Yella if you get what I am saying...". Um...thank you. I didn't ask if you thought this was an appropriate movie for my 9 year old who I watched "House Bunny" with last week and who learned all about the reality show, The Real Housewives of Atlanta at school from her friends....I want three tickets.

Anyways...there are three people behind me. Two guys...and a girl. So I overhear the one guy saying to the other little person who was selling him tickets "Hey...are you two brothers?". I just about died...the little person aka Regal Movie Patrol who was ringing me up, says "Why...do we look alike?". I could barly contain myself and had to call my sister to share. After spending several days visiting my parents this was the highlight of my day.

So now my mother who is finished smoking her upteenth cigarette in the 23 degree weather outside of the movie and my father who has parked the minivan have come in. They all get in line to get popcorn and other various crap (which I did not partake in...thank you very much) and I am walking through the lobby so Madison can see the arcade games and what do you know... one of the little people from the ticket window...comes gliding through the lobby on his motorized jazzy and almost plows me over... HILARIOUS!!!

I made it into the boring movie alive. If you are a dog owner...you will like it...if pets aren't your thing (THEY ARE SO NOT MINE) then just skip past this movie.
